Blue Ink Tears

Journal interuptous

Blue tears flow to paper
melting into
metered sounds
of memory

soul brought to crisis
point of creativity
or insanity -hard to tell

sitting on patchwork quilt
where he was made
sipping a cup of sorrow
I listen to records
(radio has to many opinions )
and write

my pain keeps running out of ink
forced to write in angry red
it is all I have

fresh start, turn the page
to find you have invaded
even this sacred space
with your black pain
scribbled in the margins
of my book of words.

A poem is never done:
