Medium Algorithm Doesn’t Get Me!

Help me beat the algorithm, send me your old articles to read

I have very wide ranging tastes in reading. The wide range of articles on so many topics has made Medium a delight until recently. With the latest round of changes at Medium I find my self scrolling, scrolling, scrolling down the endless list on the for you tab.

Medium’s algorithm clearly doesn’t understand me.

I started to wonder, “What does Medium think I like? My interests are broader than the woe’s me, death and retirement articles I’ve been getting pushed my way. Switching to the following tab I find more pieces of interest. However this tab doesn’t seem to get updated as often as the for you tab.

The third tab is single origin coffee. No, I’m not kidding! I read one article, once, about single origin coffee. Don’t get me wrong, it was an interesting article. But I need to drink the coffee not read about it to stimulate my mind!
