Thanks for the explaination on which form-I handed it to Tax-guy and never looked at what it was called. I wasn't trying to get out of paying what I owe- just trying to understand what I was to do-the primary point being -I need to earn twice as much to breakeven if I'm going to continue with tax-guy. as he charges per form filed (other income complexties required his help-he has been very good for six years) .

From the many articles I read-turbotax was the clearest on explaining how the new laws (2022 taxes) are going to effect those of us being paid royalties by a third party (stripe for example) . The law changes both how reporting occurs (you are correct) and also what those who have earned have to pay. Thank you for reading and taking the time to expand on this topic.
